Audio Settings



Click "Options" toolbar button, then select "Audio" tab page.



Record audio from Group:

Not record audio:  Record only video, not record audio.

Record audio from microphone:  Record audio from microphone while recording video. To use this option, your sound card in the computer should include microphone.

Record audio from speaker:  Record audio from speaker while recording video. To use this option, your sound card in the computer should include speaker. This is useful for recording a movie stream or music etc.



Record audio device Group:

Record Device:  Select a device in the combo box to use while recording.

Record Format:  Select a format in the combo box to use while recording. The value before "kHz" is samples per second, and value before "-bit" is bits per sample. A larger values of samples per second and bits per sample will result in better recording quality, but the file size will be larger also.



Audio compress format Group:

Click "Compress Format" button to select a format to compress the audio to after recording.


Interleave interval:

This option enables you to interleave your audio and video for smoother playback on a slow device such as CD-ROM. The interleave factor determines the amount of interleaving in your movie.

Frames:  Interleave every number of frames. Input 1 frame to perform full interleave. Larger values perform less interleaving.

Milliseconds:  Interleave every number of milliseconds. Input to interleave every 100ms for a video with capture rate of 200 frames per second, the interleave factor will be equivalent to interleave every 20 frames.


Use MCI Recording:  Check this to use system commands (MCI commands) to record audio. This method is more stable and may give better sound quality in some systems. Use this option if this program record audio with low quality and you want to get high quality sound recording from your system's sound recorder.
